Friday Finds (#65)

"Friday Finds" is a weekly meme, hosted by Should Be Reading, where you share the book titles you discovered or heard about during the past week. These can be books you were told about, books you discovered while browsing goodreads/blogs/bookstores online, or books that you actually purchased.

Happy Friday, lovelies! Is it getting warmer wherever you live as well? A few days ago it was still cold and now we have 14°C ... ugh. I'm more a winter person but don't mind the spring - the too hot weather/summer bothers me though. Also when the weather changes so fast, I always get headaches then and it sucks! Buuuuuut, I started watching The Shannara Chronicles yesterday and LOVE IT. Is anyone else watching it too? What are your thoughs on it? :D

What are your Friday Finds? :)

  1. We are exactly the same weather-wise! It was so hot here yesterday. Today not so much, but that's because it's so windy. (I actually drove my bike into the bushes because there was so much wind. Don't laugh.)
I've had Red Rising on my shelf for quite some time, and I really need to get to it soon! And The Lie Tree sounds sooo good

    1. That's what ... like 20°C? Oh my god! It can stay a little colder for some more time, in my opinion ... I really don't mind. Although it's okay as it is right now too so yeah. :P

  3. We also had -15°C last week and it out of sudden changed to 11°C this week. These abrupt changes really suck.
And I cant help myself but to sqeee when it comes to Red Rising. It is like the best of best dystopian/sci-fi book(series) ever written. I re-read it numerous times and I love it with all my heart. I hope you will enjoy it, Yvonne :)

  4. You're lucky to have weather that's at least mild! Here it's around 3 degrees c every day, and I'm not liking it! Especially my half an hour walks to school at 8am... it's not fun to be that cold!

I've heard so much about The Lie Tree recently because of it winning the Costa Book Awards, but I'm not sure how much it appeals to me. It's obviously really good though, so I'll have to see! I really want to read Red Rising and Assassin's heart too :)

    1. I wouldn't mind that! I love winter and the colder days!! :D But yeah, walking when it's that cold is not so much fun.

I definitely want to read a few more reviews about this one before I decide anything but it sounds very interesting! I hope you'll like the others!! :D

  5. I want to check out the Shannara Chronicles so badly! I've heard that the books were kind of boring to get through though I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about the show. Maybe I'll start it this weekend!

    1. OMG YEEES! You have to!! It's SO GOOD. Especially if you're into high fantasy and all that stuff ... I didn't know what it was about when I watched the first episode and was so surprised - IN A GOOD WAY. I'm obsessed. After 5 episodes, ugh! AND I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK ABOUT IT!!! So yeah, you know where to find me. :P

  6. YES! I'm watching Shannara! (Honestly, hard to find a show I'm NOT watching) Loving it so far!! I did read the first book in the Shannara Chronicles, but that was an entirely different story somehow - So I'm not sure how it's connected. BUT ANYWAY IT'S GOOD. <3

    1. So I don't need to read it? Haha. :D I just love the show SO MUCH ALREADY. We definitely need to chat about it! Do you like Amberle? Or are you more a fan of Eritrea? :P
