Wow. This book made me speechless. I don't know how to handle my feelings - they're literally all over the place. Just OH MY GOD. I received an eARC from Netgalley and I'm glad I got to read it!

It's told from 4 different point of views - Tomás, Autumn, Claire and Sylv. Each one has a different perspective on the things happening in the auditorium when things are getting serious ... and deadly. It's not pretty. It's shocking and emotional and feels so, so real. Like that could happen anywhere in real life as well. It certainly already did ... and that doesn't make it any better.

To read how everything started was already terrible ... I can only imagine what goes through your head when someone walks into a room with a gun in his hand and there's no way out. Fear? Hopelessness? Determination to stop him, whatever the cost? I wouldn't know and hope I won't ever experience this. And if you think about it ... ALL of that happened in "only" 54 minutes. SO MUCH. It's just horrible.

I constantly felt with the main characters and everyone else ... the fear is definitely real. The emotions towards the end ... it was SO much. I definitely had teary eyes but most of the time I didn't even know what to feel. Should I be relieved that this time his bullet didn't hit someone? Should I be scared for what would happen next? Who he's gonna shot? Should I be hopeful that the police would show up any time now? That they'd get everyone out? I DIDN'T KNOW! I felt everything and nothing at the same time.

It's a book I'd immediately recommend! The writing style is great, easy to read and flows perfectly. For me, there was no boring moment, I was constantly on edge and biting my nails because I wasn't sure what would come next. If you're up for something like that - go into it without knowing too much! Just read it, it's totally worth it and important in times like this.
