My BOOKMARK collection

Hello everyone! I recently started making some new bookmarks - mostly because Melissa @ In A Bookish World asked me if I wanted to contribute some for her huge giveaway that she's currently planing (go help her out & check out this post) - and since I like doodling a lot I thought it would look good as a bookmark too! And guess what? It's really cool!

I'm not very creative or something like that, so they probably look mostly the same but I like them nonetheless and thought I'd share them with you too ... along with the rest of my bookmark collection!

My doodle bookmarks

Okay, so these are the ones I made in the past few days. They take me ages but it's very relaxing and I like them a lot. I'm not sure which one's my favorite but I like the green color a lot, so maybe that one? Haha. What do you guys think about them? Are they even something someone would like to win in a giveaway? I told her I'm not sure but oh well ...

Skinny Hues

I bought these on Etsy from Carina's amazing shop "Skinny Hues" and am in love with it ever since! She has so many great designs in lots of different colors and for the price it's a really, really good quality bookmark. Check out her Etsy shop for more infos or go to @skinnyhues on Instagram!

Melissa's bookmarks

These were gifts from Melissa that she made herself. I think they were for her Instagram giveaway but I loved them a lot and so I ended up getting some as well, wohoo! Back then I wasn't a huge Harry Potter fan and couldn't even connect the "Always" bookmark to anything but I understand now. I still haven't read the 4th book but I'm on it! I'll get there! My favorites are the Keep Calm & Just one more chapter bookmark ... they're incredible!

Signed bookmarks

Here are my treasures! Living in Austria is a curse if you want signed books by authors you really love ... there's no chance for getting them except if you pay horrendous shipping costs. It's horrible, believe me. That's also why I don't own any signed books! *cries in corner* But at least I got these beauties - I got the "Matter of Fate" bookmark (signed by Heather Lyons) from Melissa and "The One Thing" bookmarks by Marci Lyn Curtis herself. She's such a sweet person and I love her book so, so much! While we're at it, check out my review & go read the book! It's so good and one of my faves this year! <3

All the rest

If these aren't enough yet ... I definitely have some more. I tried to draw Dean Winchester on one bookmark but failed miserably, have some Book Depository bookmarks, some printed TFIOS bookmarks, two really pretty ones with awesome quotes on it from a cute little bookstore here in Austria and lots of other ones. You can't see them all and also not very detailed here but oh well.

What about you? Are you collecting bookmarks? Do you even use them or are you just dog-earing pages? Using whatever's close by to you? Let me know!!

  1. I don't have many bookmarks.. yet. I used to use pictures as bookmarks. I guess I just didn't realize how many great ones were out there. But Yvonne, I LOVE the ones you made. They're perfect. You say you're not creative, well I'd like to disagree on that. Maybe you should try to get the writing just a tad more even, but they are really really great! I'd definitely like winning them.

    1. There are indeed very pretty ones out there, yes! But thank you so much, Maaike! This means a lot. ♥ The writing is actually super hard for me - I'm not happy with it either but it's freaking difficult, haha.

  2. Oh my gosh, you've got sooo many pretty bookmarks! I really need to get more. The one I use now is leather with a design on it and tassel that I got in Venice, so its quite special hehe. The ones you made are BEAUTIFUL! How do you even draw that?! What a talent you have! Great post! <3 <3

    1. Your bookmark sounds incredible! I always wanted a leather one but haven't found one yet, haha. Doodle? Oh god, that's just ... stuff. Circles here and there, some dots, lines and whatever else you can think of, haha. Not that hard! :P <3

  3. They are all so lovely! I think I have a bunch too, in my closet somewhere, unfortunately I am the worst at using bookmarks when it comes to reading. I end up using whatever is closest to me first. But those are beautiful, especially the doodles

    1. I did that too - using whatever was clostest too me ... sometimes it was also a tissue (not a used one, of course, hahaha) but then I got some really pretty ones and found others in a bookstore, so my collection grew and grew ... oh well. :D Thank you, Lily! ♥

    1. SELL THEM? Oh god, no. :P I think they're ... too simple, too "not professional" and idk what else for selling, hahaha. But I'm glad you like them! Thank you! ♥
