Waiting on Wednesday (#25): The Death Code

Waiting on Wednesday  is a weekly meme, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that booklovers can't wait to get their hands on!

Title: The Death Code
Author: Lindsay Cummings
Genre: Young Adult, Dystopia
Expected Publication Date: May 26th, 2015

Why am I waiting?

I didn't want to add a blurb because it's the second book in a serious and usually I don't care because it doesn't reveal anything but MAYBE the one from "The Death Code" could already tell you a bit about the first book, hm. Anyway, I loved "The Murder Complex" and desperately waiting for this second book. So long. The cover is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to continue the series because ughhhh there were so many plot twists in the first one and it had a jaw-dropping ending! I'M SO EXCITED!

  1. I've been meaning to buy and read The Murder Complex for so long now but I still haven't done it. I should just do it. Great pick!

    My WOW!

    1. Definitely do it! TMC was one of my favorite books of 2014, I loved it a lot! There were so many twists and epic moments and the characters are just great! :D

Thanks for stopping by, Stephanie! ♥

  2. I've thought about reading TMC before, but the repitition of "blood soaked" in the synopsis kind of turned me off. I like action, but I don't like gory. Can you tell me if it's really gory or just mostly action? Thanks! Here's my WOW. Happy Reading!

    1. I just asked a friend of mine, who also read it (and she's usually more into Romance books), and she says it's more action than gory. I remember there are a few "disturbing" scenes but overall she's probably right - a lot of action and twists. We both loved it a lot, so maybe just give it a try? Or try reading the novella "The Fear Trials" first - it's shorter and will probably give you a chance to decide better! :)

      Thanks for stopping by! ♥

    1. I haven't read the Balance Keepers yet but I have an eye on it ... maybe I'll get it sometime. It's just that it's a children's book, so I don't really know but I only heard good about it and I KNOW that Lindsay can definitely write books! :D

Ohhh, thank you! I followed you back! ♥

  5. Ohhh. This book! I'm desperately in need of reading this, whenever I'm in the "I need to read something gory" mood. I would think about picking this up, but I never do. PLUS that the author is insanely sweet and awesome :)

    Great post! ♥

PS. what was your rating for The Murder Complex? I know you loved it from recent posts.
